Senior Accounting & Reporting Specialist – Global Delivery Services

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Bookkeeper to lead accounting, compliance and reporting activities within EY’s Global Delivery Services. The role supports a US client from our Buenos Aires hub, overseeing end‑to‑end finance operations, from transaction processing to monthly close and tax reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and coordinate daily accounting activities performed by the Buenos Aires team, reporting to the Manager.
• Lead bookkeeping functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger processing.
• Oversee senior and staff team members on manual journal entries, monthly flash reports, financial result summaries and CFO deep‑dive inputs.
• Perform bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Prepare and review monthly tax account reconciliations and support quarterly and annual close activities.
• Analyse financial information, reconcile balance‑sheet accounts and identify unusual fluctuations or risks.
• Prepare KPI and management reports and support variance analysis.
• Coach junior team members, provide technical guidance and conduct quality reviews.
• Collaborate with GDS India and the on‑shore ACR US team to ensure consistency across locations.
• Lead transition activities for new engagements, process transfers and ERP migration projects, including testing and documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in controllership or shared‑services finance environments.
• Strong knowledge of finance operations processes such as Record‑to‑Report, Procure‑to‑Pay and Order‑to‑Cash.
• Experience leading or supporting finance and accounting transitions, with accountability for timelines and costs.
• Proven ability to work on ERP implementation or migration projects.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a proactive mindset.
