Security Awareness Specialist

About the role

The Security Awareness Specialist will create and publish engaging content that translates complex cybersecurity topics into clear messages for both technical and non‑technical audiences. Working closely with researchers, analysts and the PR team, you will help raise awareness of current threats, scams and cyber‑attack trends.

Key responsibilities

• Create articles, infographics, diagrams and presentation slides based on input from security researchers and analysts.
• Monitor IT security news, trends and emerging threats to identify communication and PR opportunities.
• Maintain contact with Malware Researchers at ESET HQ to spot relevant PR angles.
• Coordinate content publishing with PR, Marketing, Sales and other internal teams.
• Participate in webinars, virtual sessions, customer presentations and other speaking engagements.
• Support media and PR activities by providing technical input, reviewing messaging and taking part in interviews.
• Represent ESET at external events, awareness initiatives and customer‑facing activities.

Required profile

• Experience creating security‑focused content for diverse audiences.
• Ability to simplify complex cybersecurity concepts into engaging formats.
• Strong collaboration skills with PR, marketing and technical teams.
• Proactive attitude toward monitoring trends and identifying communication opportunities.
