Full-Stack Software Engineer (Remote)

About the role

LegalAtoms is a mission‑driven legal‑tech startup that helps people file protection orders and other court documents. We are looking for a Full‑Stack Software Engineer to join our small, remote team and build reliable, user‑friendly, and scalable solutions that directly improve access to justice.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with founders and cross‑functional teammates to understand user needs and translate them into product features.
• Own feature development from design reviews through deployment, monitoring, and post‑release support.
• Write clear, spec‑driven requirements and leverage AI coding tools (Claude Code, Codex, Augment Code, Cursor) to generate the majority of production code.
• Design and enhance the AI “factory” pipelines that turn specifications into shipped features with minimal manual effort.
• Implement automated end‑to‑end verification to ensure every change works without human bottlenecks.
• Investigate CloudWatch logs to diagnose and patch live production issues.
• Participate in rigorous code reviews to maintain architectural consistency and code quality.

Required profile

• Passionate about mission‑driven startups and eager to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experienced with AI‑assisted development and comfortable writing unambiguous specifications.
• Strong instincts for system design, clean architecture, and domain‑driven design.
• Enthusiastic about automating repetitive engineering tasks.

Required skills

• Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Codex, Augment Code, or Cursor.
• Proficiency with AWS CloudWatch for monitoring and debugging.
• Full‑stack development experience.
