Full Stack Developer (React/Node) – Remote

About the role

Communities.Tech is a small Texas‑based team building web products that streamline hiring workflows in the construction industry. We are looking for a full‑stack developer to join a tight‑knit team of fewer than 15 people, work remotely from LATAM, and help turn product ideas into production‑ready features.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and ship front‑end features using React, TypeScript and Next.js.
• Build back‑end services with Node.js, Express and design REST APIs, including real‑time components with Socket.IO when needed.
• Model data and write performant queries in PostgreSQL.
• Create and maintain background jobs and workflows using Redis and BullMQ.
• Support search and indexing requirements with Elasticsearch.
• Write automated tests, participate in code reviews and improve platform reliability and performance.
• Collaborate closely with product, design and QA teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience building production web applications.
• Proficient with React and TypeScript and comfortable with Next.js.
• Strong back‑end experience with Node.js and Express.
• Solid understanding of REST, JWT/token‑based authentication and API integrations.
• Good grasp of relational data concepts and PostgreSQL.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted coding tools and awareness of their limitations.
