Director of Investment Operations

About the role

We are seeking a Director of Investment Operations to design and scale the operational systems that will enable our real‑estate portfolio to provide homes for 10,000 families. This full‑time remote position reports to the CIO and will lead the investments function across acquisitions, asset management and investor relations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement a unified operating cadence for all deal structures (direct, co‑GP, third‑party).
• Streamline the operational layer of the investments function, eliminating orphan deals and two‑tier systems.
• Oversee weekly EOS Level 10 meetings and manage a hybrid US/offshore team.
• Ensure consistent underwriting standards, investment committee pre‑reads, asset‑management reporting and lender/LP communications.
• Drive risk assessment, portfolio analysis and investor‑relations processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in real‑estate underwriting, SOP development, risk assessment and portfolio analysis.
• Strong background in investor relations within a multifamily or workforce‑housing context.
• Conversational English proficiency.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and lead cross‑functional teams.

What we offer

• Annual compensation between USD 40,000 and USD 60,000.
