Technical Talent Partner

About the role

We are seeking a Technical Talent Partner who brings operator‑level credibility to technical recruiting. You will act as the strategic force behind search execution for PCT’s clients—from pre‑seed startups to pre‑IPO companies—partnering directly with founders and technical leaders to hire exceptional engineering and technical talent.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end technical searches across engineering and adjacent functions (product, design, data, security, QA) for a diverse client portfolio.
• Partner directly with founders and VP‑level leaders to define hiring criteria and drive searches with urgency.
• Design and coach high‑signal interview processes, especially for first‑time hiring managers.
• Conduct deep talent mapping and competitive analysis to identify and reach top candidates.
• Develop innovative sourcing strategies, including Boolean search, talent mapping and high‑volume outreach, to build diverse, high‑quality pipelines.
• Screen and assess senior‑plus technical talent, distinguishing strong from exceptional candidates.
• Track pipeline health, pass‑through rates and search progress, using data to optimise the approach and communicate clearly with clients.
• Collaborate with PCT’s technical sourcers to align targeting strategy and move searches efficiently.

Required profile

• Several years of technical recruiting experience within product‑led or SaaS companies.
• Proven track record owning senior and staff‑level searches end‑to‑end and earning the trust of CTOs and senior leaders.
• Experience hiring across engineering and at least one adjacent function (product, design, data, security, QA).
• Self‑directed, able to manage multiple searches simultaneously without close supervision.
• High hiring bar with ability to articulate the difference between strong and exceptional candidates.
• Strong written communication skills for updates, candidate outreach and founder briefings.
