Project Data Manager

About the role

The Project Data Manager will lead functional data management activities, acting as the primary liaison between Data Management, Operations, Project Management, Clinical Monitoring and other functional groups. This role ensures timely delivery of data management milestones and supports the overall success of clinical projects.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead the assigned Data Management/Data Operations team, ensuring launch, delivery and completion of all activities according to SOPs and contractual agreements.
• Manage project finances, revenue recognition, scope changes and liaise with Finance and Contracts groups.
• Monitor and communicate project progress to sponsors, using status reports and tracking tools.
• Develop and maintain project plans, specifications and documentation, ensuring TMF filing is complete and up‑to‑date.
• Provide training, mentorship and support to data management staff and participate in internal and external meetings.

Required profile

• BA/BS in biological sciences, health care or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Clinical data management experience, preferably within a CRO environment.
• Strong project management and staff leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams, adapt to change and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Experience with Oracle Clinical, Rave or Inform systems.
• Proficiency in relational database management software.
• Advanced MS Windows navigation, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email applications.
