Manager, Clinical Data Management

About the role

Worldwide Clinical Trials is seeking a Manager, Clinical Data Management to lead data management teams and ensure high‑quality execution of clinical studies. This remote position supports global projects and collaborates with sponsors and internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee clinical data management teams and study portfolios, ensuring successful project execution and budget control.
• Act as the primary escalation point for study‑related issues, coordinating timely resolutions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Represent the organization in sponsor governance meetings and build strong sponsor relationships.
• Manage staffing and resource allocation to match project demands and team capabilities.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members through training, performance management, and career development.
• Support business development by contributing to proposals, presentations, and sponsor‑facing discussions.
• Assist with audits, inspections, and third‑party reviews, driving corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise for data management processes, including guidance, training, documentation oversight, and quality leadership.
• Lead departmental initiatives focused on process improvement, operational efficiency, and best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in biomedical sciences, life sciences, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 9 years of experience in clinical data management within pharma, biotech, or medical device industries.
• 2–4 years of people‑management experience.
