Junior Full Stack Engineer

About the role

AgileEngine is seeking a Junior Full Stack Engineer to create AI‑powered automation tools that generate and maintain tests for a public safety platform. You will primarily work with Java on the backend while gradually expanding your involvement with TypeScript and React on the frontend, integrating AI coding assistants into daily workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build automation tools that streamline test generation and maintenance, leveraging AI where it adds value.
• Contribute across the stack, focusing on Java backend development and expanding into TypeScript/React frontend work.
• Integrate AI coding assistants such as Claude Code and Codex into developer workflows.
• Improve test reliability, coverage, and maintainability using Playwright.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to identify pain points and design scalable tooling solutions.
• Enhance developer experience (DX) across the CAD engineering team.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong foundation in Java for backend development.
• Working knowledge of TypeScript, React, and HTML.
• Experience with Playwright or a comparable end‑to‑end testing framework.
• Genuine interest in developer experience, automation, and tooling.
• Upper‑intermediate English communication skills.
