Accounting & Financial Reporting Associate

About the Role

Join Thesis Capital, a premier private equity firm, as an Accounting & Financial Reporting Associate. In this pivotal role, you will support accounting operations, financial reporting, and analysis for our diverse portfolio companies, playing a key part in our data-driven investment approach.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting activities in QuickBooks Online (QBO), including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and monthly closing processes.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
• Support Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and collection efforts to ensure optimal working capital management.
• Prepare weekly and monthly financial statements, management reports, and lender reporting packages, including debt base reports.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes aligned with corporate objectives.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and key business drivers to support strategic decision-making.
• Support the development and maintenance of financial models and ensure compliance with US GAAP standards.
• Assist with US tax reporting requirements and internal control maintenance, including audit coordination with external auditors.
• Contribute to process improvement and the optimization of reporting systems and tools.

Profile Required

• Strong background in accounting and financial reporting, ideally within a private equity or corporate finance environment.
• Proven experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO) and advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP principles.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
