Voyage Optimizer – Marine Logistics Coordinator

About the role

The Voyage Optimizer will coordinate and implement safe, efficient, and cost‑effective bulk liquid marine logistics for ExxonMobil’s owned and chartered vessels. Working from the Buenos Aires office, you will ensure seamless dispatch, voyage planning, and terminal scheduling to support global cargo movements.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute bulk liquid marine logistics to maximize commercial advantage worldwide.
• Ensure compliance with ExxonMobil policies, industry standards, and government regulations.
• Manage a global portfolio of marine tonnage, optimizing charter agreements and minimizing value‑chain dis‑optimization.
• Provide commercial expertise to influence Value Chain/Trading decisions, including demurrage and oil‑loss considerations.
• Issue voyage orders and letters of indemnity, and enter voyage data into the Veson accounting system.
• Monitor contract performance against KPIs, working with freight traders and vessel owners to close gaps.
• Vet marine equipment, initiate incident reporting, and liaise with Marine Quality Assurance to resolve issues.
• Serve as the primary contact for accurate voyage information, delivering timely schedules to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven experience in marine logistics, shipping operations, or related supply‑chain roles.
• Strong understanding of charter agreements, demurrage, and oil‑loss implications.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with traders, commodity teams, and quality assurance.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on commercial optimization.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the Veson shipping and accounting system.
