Vice President - Wholesale KYC Screening Operations Manager

About the role

This senior position leads a 14‑person Central Alerts Unit (CAU) within Wholesale KYC Operations in Buenos Aires. The Vice President will oversee Specialized Due Diligence (SpDD) activities, provide guidance on Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and Financial Crime Media (FCM) requirements, and ensure alignment with regulatory and internal standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and performance‑manage a 14‑person SpDD team, building capability through structured training and succession planning.
• Set execution standards and ensure consistent delivery against internal policies, regulatory expectations, and agreed service levels.
• Drive risk‑based decision making, timely escalation of material findings, and clear documentation of rationale.
• Partner closely with Front Office, Onboarding, Compliance, and Checker functions to align on KYC requirements.
• Manage risk escalation processes and maintain oversight of PEP and FCM screening activities.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in KYC or financial crime screening environments.
• Strong understanding of Specialized Due Diligence, PEP, and Financial Crime Media screening.
• Ability to set standards, coach talent, and manage performance in a high‑risk operational setting.
• Experience collaborating with Front Office, Compliance, and onboarding teams.
• Demonstrated risk management and escalation capabilities.
