Threat Analyst - Email Security

About the role

Proofpoint is seeking a Threat Analyst focused on Email Security to join its global frontline team. You will help protect large organizations from spam, phishing, malware and business‑email‑compromise attacks by analysing malicious email traffic and contributing to rapid response actions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate email‑borne threats across a 24/7/365 “follow‑the‑sun” operation.
• Identify, parameterise and respond to spam, phishing, malware and BEC attacks targeting enterprise customers.
• Analyse mis‑classified email messages, malicious URLs and attachments to improve detection rules.
• Collaborate with a geographically distributed team to share findings and refine security controls.
• Contribute to threat intelligence reports and help develop mitigation strategies.
