Staff Accountant

About the role

EVOCS is seeking a Staff Accountant to manage customer billing, accounts receivable, collections, and cash application while supporting the Corporate Controller with general accounting and the monthly close. The role works closely with U.S.-based leadership and requires strong professional English.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices according to contracts, statements of work, purchase orders, and billing schedules.
• Validate billing details such as legal entity, billing address, contract terms, PO requirements, rates, payment terms, and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile timesheets and expenses to project records before invoicing and ensure all required supporting documents are attached.
• Monitor invoice acceptance, correct rejected invoices, and maintain the monthly billing calendar.
• Maintain organized electronic billing records and help improve the billing process.
• Maintain accurate accounts receivable records, review aging reports, and conduct professional collection follow‑up.
• Investigate overdue balances, resolve billing/payment issues, and document collection notes.
• Escalate significant collection issues, disputes, and credit risks to the Corporate Controller.

Required profile

• Experience with customer billing, accounts receivable, and cash application.
• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP or U.S. company accounting practices is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple engagement types (time‑and‑material, fixed‑fee, milestone‑based, etc.).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
