Software Engineer II

About the role

JPMorgan Chase is looking for a Software Engineer II to join an agile team that designs, builds, and maintains secure, stable, and scalable software components for the firm’s technology products. You will work on multiple components of a technical product, gaining experience that supports career growth within the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and troubleshoot software solutions using at least one programming language.
• Write secure, high‑quality code and consider upstream/downstream system impacts.
• Apply SDLC tools and automation to improve development efficiency.
• Analyze large data sets to identify issues and support decision‑making for stable application delivery.
• Collaborate with the team to foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
• Familiarity with the full Software Development Life Cycle.
• Exposure to agile practices such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
• Emerging knowledge of cloud, AI/ML, mobile, or related technical domains.
