Software Configuration Coordinator (SAP)

About the role

The Software Configuration Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating and governing software changes and releases across EY's enterprise SAP landscape. The role ensures that all changes are promoted in a controlled, compliant and risk‑aware manner while collaborating with development, Basis, testing and business teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and govern software releases and transport movements across the SAP landscape.
• Manage end‑to‑end Change Request Management (ChaRM) activities.
• Review, analyse and remediate transport conflicts and retrofit issues before production promotions.
• Ensure strict adherence to release, change and transport management processes.
• Coordinate with global, cross‑functional teams (Basis, Development, Testing, Business) to confirm release readiness.
• Monitor dependencies among SAP modules to mitigate risk.
• Maintain accurate solution and release documentation.
• Support governance forums with release status, risk assessments and impact analysis.
• Enforce process compliance while enabling timely delivery of business changes.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Proven ability to lead and influence cross‑functional, multi‑location teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Capacity to manage multiple parallel releases and priorities with clear communication.
• Detail‑oriented, quality‑focused and comfortable improving processes.
• Fluent in business English.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM, Enhanced Retrofits, Focused Build, Solution Documentation).
• Hands‑on experience with SAP Transport Management System (STMS).
• Experience with IT Service Management tools such as ServiceNow.
• Knowledge of ITIL Service, Change and Release Management practices.
