Site Reliability Engineer - Core

About the role

Blockchain.com is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join its Core team. You will help define and implement infrastructure best practices that securely scale a distributed financial platform used by millions daily.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and evolve infrastructure to solve reliability, latency, bandwidth, and security challenges.
• Improve observability, monitoring, and alerting across the platform.
• Coordinate work across teams to streamline execution paths.
• Centralize and automate duplicated workflows, reducing manual toil.

Required profile

• Strong experience with containerization and service orchestration; knowledge of Hashicorp Nomad, Consul, Vault is a plus.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language; Golang, Python, Bash are preferred.
• Solid Linux background with understanding of resources, networking, and internals.
• Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (GCP or AWS).

Required skills

• Modern monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana, Telegraf.
• Infrastructure‑as‑code tools, especially Terraform; Saltstack experience is a plus.
• GitOps and CI pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions.
• Messaging systems like Kafka and database management.
• Knowledge of routing and switching protocols and data‑center operations is a plus.
