Senior Structural Engineer – Industrial & Energy Projects

About the role

Redtree Engineering is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to lead analysis, design and development of structural systems for industrial facilities, power generation, mining and energy infrastructure projects in Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Lead structural analysis and design of steel, reinforced concrete, foundations and support structures for industrial and energy‑related facilities.
• Take technical ownership of calculations, design packages, engineering reports, specifications and construction documents.
• Review and approve structural plans, drawings, calculations and technical reports prepared by team members.
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, controls and project management teams, including Revit modelers.
• Conduct field investigations, site visits, condition assessments and provide construction support.
• Mentor junior and semi‑senior engineers and lead quality and constructability reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 8+ years of hands‑on structural design experience in industrial, energy, mining, oil & gas or power generation environments.
• Proven ability to perform structural analysis and design as a primary responsibility.
• Advanced written and verbal English proficiency.

Required skills

• Design of structural steel, pipe racks, reinforced concrete structures and equipment foundations.
• Experience with at least one major analysis platform (Autodesk Robot, SAP2000 or STAAD Pro).
• Coordination with Revit modeling teams.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes and design standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE 7, AISC, ACI 318).
