Senior Solutions Consultant

About the role

Sovos is looking for a Senior Solutions Consultant to help global customers manage tax compliance across complex, multi‑country environments. You will act as the bridge between sales, engineering and professional services, turning customer requirements into precise project scopes, effort estimates and Statements of Work.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and analyse implementation requirements from the sales organisation, assessing products, workflows, regulatory considerations and country‑specific constraints.
• Validate customer requirements, identify dependencies, risks and success‑critical elements, and define clear functional and technical scopes.
• Translate sales‑engineering scope definitions into commercially viable project proposals.
• Prepare detailed effort and cost estimates broken down by product, role, activity and hours, leveraging best‑practice templates.
• Document and validate assumptions, dependencies and considerations for inclusion in Statements of Work.
• Ensure Statements of Work clearly define scope, deliverables, responsibilities, exclusions and service conditions.
• Serve as the single point of intake for estimation requests related to changes on implemented products.
• Provide high‑level effort and cost estimates to support rapid customer response and approval processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in solution consulting or professional services for enterprise software.
• Strong background in scoping, estimating and creating Statements of Work for global, multi‑country projects.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable plans.
• Ability to work closely with sales, engineering and delivery teams to reduce delivery risk.
