Senior Software Engineer – Fintech Platform

About the role

You will shape the core architecture of Félix's Fintech Platform, working within one of three squads—Payments, Disbursements, or GRC—to build, optimize, and scale backend micro‑services that power secure financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable backend micro‑services for the chosen squad (Payments, Disbursements, or GRC).
• Design infrastructure capable of handling millions of daily requests while ensuring top‑level security and performance.
• Integrate Google Cloud services and manage Kubernetes‑based deployments using Terraform.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with product, operations, compliance, and other teams to deliver end‑to‑end financial solutions.
• Mentor junior developers and promote engineering best practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in fast‑paced environments.
• Fluent or advanced English.
• Proven track record delivering fintech‑focused applications, especially payment, disbursement, or compliance systems.
• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and web service design (REST APIs).

Required skills

• Python, Flask or FastAPI, REST APIs, gRPC.
• SQL, Redis.
• React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX.
• Google Cloud services (Firestore, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Artifact Registry, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Cloud Composer).
• Kubernetes, Terraform, NewRelic, PagerDuty.
