Senior Site Reliability Engineer, DevEx

About the role

Chainlink Labs is looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join the DevEx team, which builds the Kubernetes‑based control‑plane that powers the company’s CI/CD platform, developer environments, and build systems. This role focuses on designing and automating infrastructure primitives rather than day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable Kubernetes control‑plane components, including custom operators and GitOps‑driven deployment pipelines.
• Build and maintain self‑hosted GitHub Actions runner infrastructure with autoscaling, isolation, and cost/performance tuning.
• Develop secure network access solutions for CI/CD and remote development environments using zero‑trust tools.
• Create and support on‑demand developer environments and build systems, reducing per‑team tooling duplication.

Required profile

• 6–9+ years of SRE, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes internals, custom resources, and large‑scale failure diagnosis.
• Proven track record building platform infrastructure, control planes, or Kubernetes Operators.
• Experience with Terraform, GitOps (Flux or ArgoCD), and large‑scale CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, GitHub Apps).
