Senior Python Software Engineer

About the role

Satellogic is seeking a Senior Python Software Engineer to develop and maintain cloud‑native ground segment software for its satellite systems. The role is hybrid, primarily based in Buenos Aires with openness to Córdoba.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and operate cloud‑native ground segment applications.
• Enhance existing software by expanding test coverage and improving documentation.
• Provide expert support for satellite operations, including incident response.
• Build automated infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and declarative IaC (e.g., Helm).
• Implement observability standards such as structured logging, custom metrics, and distributed tracing.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience architecting scalable cloud‑based solutions and developing production‑grade Python software.
• Proficiency with GNU/Linux development environments.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and continuous learning mindset.
