Senior Purchaser – Logistics & Construction Procurement

About the role

The Senior Purchaser will lead end‑to‑end procurement activities for logistics and construction services supporting Vestas projects across Latin America. Reporting to the LATAM Procurement Senior Manager, the role ensures cost‑effective, compliant, and reliable solutions for transportation, port handling, inland transport, cranes and labor.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with project requirements and regional market conditions.
• Manage the full RFQ process, negotiate contracts, and secure optimal terms on cost, quality, delivery and risk.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define scope, specifications, timelines and contractual frameworks.
• Maintain supplier relationships, monitor performance, drive development and resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with Vestas procurement policies, ethical standards and governance requirements.
• Identify risks and opportunities early in logistics and construction scopes to support project execution.
• Contribute to cost‑out initiatives and continuous improvement of procurement tools and processes.
• Maintain transparent documentation throughout the sourcing and contracting lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement or strategic sourcing within logistics, construction or project‑driven industries.
• Track record of managing service contracts and supplier negotiations at a regional or international level.
• Strong understanding of project cargo logistics and civil construction services.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in English.
