Senior PHP Backend Engineer

About the role

Fever is looking for a Senior PHP Backend Engineer to design, build and maintain high‑performance services that power large‑scale live‑entertainment experiences, payments and reconciliation processes used by millions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend APIs and microservices (PHP 8, Docker, AWS) for critical domains such as payments, reconciliation and fiscal automation.
• Own monitoring, performance, reliability and observability of your services, including logs, metrics and tracing.
• Participate in architectural decisions, contribute to cross‑team projects and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate external services with complex, mission‑critical logic and ensure scalability and maintainability.

Required profile

• Strong experience building backend systems with PHP 8+ and RESTful APIs at scale.
• Deep understanding of MySQL, PostgreSQL and event‑driven architectures.
• Proficiency with Docker, CI/CD pipelines and AWS services (SQS, Lambdas, CloudWatch, SNS, S3).
• Professional proficiency in English and solid Git collaboration skills.
