Senior Incident Response Security Consultant

About the role

As a Senior Incident Response Security Consultant you will join Mandiant’s Google Cloud team to deliver world‑class incident response, threat hunting and forensic services for high‑profile clients. You will work remotely, helping organisations detect, contain and remediate cyber threats while providing strategic guidance throughout the incident lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end incident response engagements, including investigation, containment, remediation and crisis management.
• Perform deep‑dive forensic analysis of network traffic, malware, cloud environments, disk and memory images.
• Develop and execute threat‑hunting missions and malware triage to uncover hidden adversary activity.
• Automate repetitive tasks and create Python scripts to improve response efficiency.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to technical teams, executive leadership and legal counsel.
• Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the continuous improvement of Mandiant’s methodologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on incident response and investigative experience.
• At least 5 years of experience with network forensics, malware analysis, cloud, disk and memory forensics.
• Strong background in Linux/Unix environments and Python automation.
• Ability to travel up to 30 % of the time and hold Mexican citizenship.
