Senior Finance Consultant / Manager

About the role

PIF Advisory is seeking a senior finance leader with management‑consulting experience to assess and then embed within a payments client’s finance function. The role begins with a rapid diagnostic of the existing finance team and evolves into hands‑on leadership of the newly designed operating model.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a structured review of a 40‑person finance team across London, Vienna and Hyderabad, conducting interviews and documenting processes, controls and systems.
• Map core finance operations (bank reconciliation, AR, AP, intercompany) and scheme settlement workflows, identifying inefficiencies.
• Produce a prioritized recommendation report covering personnel, process improvements and AI enablement.
• Stand up and manage the PIF team that will take over agreed finance operations from the client.
• Own implementation of workflow changes, including AI‑driven automation, and act as the senior point of accountability for the engagement.
• Scale the role into a broader senior leadership position within PIF Advisory.

Required profile

• Management‑consulting background (e.g., McKinsey, Big‑4 advisory) preferably within financial services.
• Proven ability to diagnose processes and design operating models.
• Strong grounding in accounting or finance operations; audit or controllership experience is a plus.
• Leadership capacity to manage cross‑functional teams and drive change.
