Senior Data Engineer (Databricks)

About the role

Join a fast‑growing technology organization redefining productivity in software engineering. You will design, develop, and optimise data pipelines on Databricks and Apache Spark for banking systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimise data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT processes and implement Delta Lake lakehouse architecture.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts and business stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Optimise Databricks cluster configurations and query performance for cost efficiency.
• Develop data quality frameworks, monitoring solutions and ensure compliance with PCI‑DSS, SOX and GDPR.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles.
• 3+ years hands‑on experience with the Databricks platform.
• Strong proficiency in Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala) and expert‑level SQL.
• Experience with Delta Lake, data lakehouse architectures and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP).
• Background in banking or financial services data and regulatory requirements.
• Advanced English and ability to work remotely from Buenos Aires or Córdoba.
