Senior Data Engineer – Databricks & AWS

About the role

Fusemachines is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead a critical CRM data architecture migration for a Life Sciences client. The position is fully remote and requires working on US East Coast business hours to support the transition from Veeva CRM to Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data ingestion pipelines from Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud into an AWS S3‑backed Databricks Lakehouse.
• Develop and manage dbt models for data transformation, testing, and documentation.
• Orchestrate complex workflows using Apache Airflow, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
• Optimize Databricks clusters, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog for performance and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot migration issues and ensure seamless data flow.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on data engineering experience with AWS, Databricks, dbt, and Airflow.
• Strong programming skills in Python/PySpark and advanced SQL.
• Proven track record of architecting and executing large‑scale data migrations.
• Experience with CRM integrations, especially Salesforce, Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, or Veeva CRM.
• Ability to work fully remote with full overlap of US Eastern Time business hours.
