Senior Accounting Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accounting Manager to lead the day‑to‑day accounting function of a fast‑growing Series‑A SaaS company based in the United States. As the first dedicated accountant, you will work directly with the fractional CFO and executive team, owning the full monthly close and ensuring the books are audit‑ready.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end monthly close (10‑15 day cycle), including P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow statements.
• Implement ASC 606 revenue recognition for subscription, implementation and professional‑services contracts.
• Handle ASC 718 stock‑based compensation, SAFE notes and convertible instruments.
• Oversee accounts receivable and payable, invoicing, collections (95%+ target) and vendor management.
• Coordinate with an outsourced bookkeeping partner and maintain QuickBooks Online, payroll and CRM integrations.
• Prepare audit and investor diligence packages, including QofE requests.
• Identify and drive process and system improvements across the finance stack.

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a Seed‑Series B SaaS or recurring‑revenue environment.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Demonstrated expertise in ASC 606 revenue recognition for SaaS contracts.
• Strong Excel skills, capable of building deferred‑revenue water‑falls.
• Professional‑level English communication.
• CPA, CA or ACCA qualification strongly preferred.
