Senior Accountant – Settlement Accounting Analyst

About the role

The Settlement Accounting Analyst is responsible for designing, recording, analyzing, and reconciling financial transactions for products managed within the Settlement function. This role ensures accurate financial information and supports month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting entries for banks, cash transportation companies, payment processors, intercompany accounts, and other financial operations.
• Prepare, analyze, and reconcile balance‑sheet accounts, investigating and resolving outstanding items promptly.
• Produce weekly and monthly reports, meeting all reconciliation and reporting deadlines.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes with accurate and timely financial information.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, SOX requirements, and audit standards.
• Participate in process‑improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, standardization, and automation within the Settlement function.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field (or final‑year student/recent graduate).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in account analysis, reconciliations, auditing, or related accounting functions.
• Intermediate English proficiency (written and verbal).
• Strong analytical, organizational, planning and detail‑oriented abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities and drive continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Oracle.
• Experience with JD Edwards.
• Knowledge of macros and AI tools.
