Senior Accountant (QBO‑Obsessed) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Senior Accountant who is an expert in QuickBooks Online (QBO) to own client bookkeeping from transaction categorisation through to GAAP‑compliant financial statements. The role is remote, serving U.S. clients across beauty, wellness, interior design and other service industries.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately categorise transactions and reconcile bank, credit‑card, loan and clearing accounts each month.
• Own the full month‑end close process, delivering timely GAAP‑compliant P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements.
• Build and optimise QBO architecture – charts of accounts, classes, locations and product/service setups.
• Reconcile payroll provider reports (Gusto, ADP, Paychex) to QBO, including tips, commissions and benefits.
• Prepare tax‑ready books and year‑end packages for CPA audit readiness.

Required profile

• 3+ years of accounting experience for U.S.‑based businesses with strong U.S. GAAP knowledge.
• Active QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification and advanced hands‑on QBO experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English with the ability to explain financial concepts in plain language.
• Detail‑oriented, systems‑thinking mindset and a drive to automate routine processes.

• QBO ProAdvisor certification.

What we offer

• Monthly salary $2,500 – $3,500 USD, paid bi‑weekly.
• 10 days PTO per year (accrual) and U.S. holidays off.
