Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join Solvd’s Controllership team. This hands‑on finance role owns end‑to‑end processes across accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, revenue recognition and the monthly close while driving automation and AI‑enabled improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable activities including invoice review, vendor communication, payments, accruals, prepaids and reconciliations.
• Oversee customer billing and accounts receivable, issuing invoices, monitoring aging, collections and resolving payment discrepancies.
• Support revenue recognition ensuring alignment between contracts, project activity, billing and accounting records.
• Participate in monthly close activities, perform account reconciliations and prepare journal entries.
• Identify and implement automation and AI tools to streamline recurring finance workflows.
• Develop, improve and monitor internal controls across finance processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant accounting experience with strong hands‑on exposure to AP, AR, billing, revenue recognition and month‑end close.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and accounting controls.
• Proven ability to independently organize, prioritize and manage multiple concurrent requests.
• Ownership mindset – drives issues from identification through resolution without prompting.
• Interest and practical experience using AI, automation or technology to improve finance processes.

Required skills

• QuickBooks (experience with Light is a plus).
