Senior Accountant

About the role

DataCamp is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join its fast‑growing Accounting team. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will own critical parts of the month‑end close, drive process improvements, and support audit readiness while collaborating with multiple departments across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare complex journal entries and detailed account reconciliations with a focus on accuracy.
• Partner with Accounts Payable to ensure correct expense recognition, accruals, sales tax, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, intangibles, and lease accounting.
• Review general‑ledger transactions throughout the month to streamline close timelines and guarantee completeness.
• Produce timely information for financial audits, monthly close packages, and quarterly financial review packages.
• Identify and implement accounting process efficiencies.
• Document and maintain compliance‑related processes and procedures.
• Support cross‑department initiatives and build relationships with FP&A, IT, People, and Legal teams.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in a senior accounting role with strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑performing environment.
• Proactive mindset, seeking continuous improvement and process enhancements.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills across functions.
