Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to lead monthly US GAAP close activities for assigned entities. You will ensure accurate SAP postings, prepare reconciliations, perform variance analysis and support audit requests while driving continuous process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Execute US GAAP bookkeeping, including accruals, pre‑payments and routine close tasks.
• Run monthly close cycles in SAP, adhering to established procedures and deadlines.
• Develop balance‑sheet reconciliations and provide profit & loss variance explanations.
• Validate source documents, tax codes and supporting packages before posting to SAP.
• Prepare accrual and pre‑payment adjustments using system data and trend analysis.
• Investigate irregular transactions and propose appropriate accounting treatment.
• Collaborate with local accountants, business partners and finance teams to meet close timelines.
• Assist third‑party accounting providers with data delivery for local reporting.
• Respond to internal and external audit inquiries with documentation and explanations.
• Participate in process‑improvement initiatives, testing and implementing system or workflow changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably with international exposure.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and general accounting principles.
• Proficiency in English (B1+ level) – both written and spoken.
• Ability to work independently within defined procedures and maintain high accuracy.

Required skills

• SAP (or other ERP system) for accounting operations.
• Advanced Excel for reconciliations and calculations.
