Security Engineer

About the role

Cayetlent is seeking a Security Engineer to strengthen its security and compliance posture across AWS and SaaS environments. The role focuses on vulnerability management, security tooling, and incident response in a fully remote, AI‑focused cloud services company.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct security and vulnerability assessments on cloud and mobile workloads using automated and manual methods.
• Develop, tune, and monitor automated security tests and alerts with AWS tools such as Inspector, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, Lambda, and Security Hub.
• Design and execute vulnerability scans for cloud, container, and Kubernetes environments, coordinating remediation with application teams.
• Advise project teams on security risks, create threat models, and define mitigation strategies.
• Build and integrate new security tooling, including cloud‑native services, and support SecOps on‑call incident response.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or 2‑4 years of relevant IT/security experience.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS or other public cloud platforms.
• Security certifications such as Security+; AWS Security Specialty or Anthropic certification is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Required skills

• AWS security services (Inspector, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, GuardDuty, Lambda, Security Hub).
• Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform, CDK, YAML.
• Scripting/programming: Bash, PowerShell, Python, Node.js (and optionally TypeScript, Go, Java, C#, Rust).
• Container and orchestration platforms: ECS, EKS, Fargate, Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, code‑defined infrastructure, and monitoring tools such as Datadog.
