Satellite Bus Systems Engineer

About the role

Satellogic is seeking a Satellite Bus Systems Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team responsible for the end‑to‑end development of a new Earth‑observation satellite constellation. The role combines system‑level design, integration and validation to ensure all spacecraft subsystems work together as a high‑performance platform.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage satellite‑level requirements and overall bus architecture aligned with mission objectives.
• Conduct technical trade studies, risk analyses and system simulations to guide design decisions.
• Develop and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) governing subsystem interactions.
• Lead system‑level integration, testing and verification activities across attitude control, power, communications, thermal, opto‑electronics and software domains.
• Coordinate with program planning to align technical tasks with schedule milestones and cost drivers.

Required profile

• Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in satellite bus design, integration or verification.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate trade‑offs between performance, risk, schedule and cost.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross‑functional subsystem teams.
