Sales Development Representative II

About the role

The Sales Development Representative II supports the sales team by generating new business opportunities. You will contact, qualify, and nurture prospects, creating sales‑ready leads for Account Executives and Regional Vice Presidents.

Key responsibilities

• Execute a consistent outreach process via phone and email, making at least 150 calls and 150 emails per week.
• Prospect, educate, and qualify leads to schedule a minimum of 8 qualified meetings each month.
• Maintain up‑to‑date industry and technology knowledge to act as a trusted resource for prospects.
• Develop daily plans to maximize phone time, including pre‑call planning and customized scripts.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to build strategic contact lists and keep CRM data accurate.
• Report lead‑generation results to the Manager of Business Development on a regular basis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) or higher.
• 0–2 years of experience in lead development, sales development, or a similar role.
• Strong work ethic, effective communication skills, and a desire to improve.
• Experience prospecting insurance agents, general agents, or carriers is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience using CRM platforms such as HubSpot or Salesforce.
