Roller Operator – Maintenance Rural Crews

About the role

Central Highlands Regional Council is seeking Roller Operators to join its Maintenance Rural Crews. The role is full‑time and involves operating roller plant and performing labour tasks to support the construction and upkeep of roads and town facilities across the Central Highlands region.

Key responsibilities

• Operate roller equipment safely on rural job sites.
• Assist with the construction, repair and maintenance of road and infrastructure assets.
• Perform general labour duties, including site preparation and clean‑up.
• Collaborate with the Infrastructure and Utilities team to meet project schedules.
• Stay on‑site in camp accommodation when required.

Required profile

• Current Roller Operations statement of attainment or ticket.
• Valid Construction White Card.
• Minimum Queensland Class C driver licence.
• Willingness to work in remote, camp‑based environments.
• Positive, flexible attitude toward varied operating and labour tasks.
