Remote Rust Engineer – AI Data Training Contractor

About the role

We are looking for a remote Rust Engineer to join SME Careers, a fast‑growing AI data services company. You will work on AI data training tasks, reviewing and generating Rust code, evaluating reasoning quality, and providing detailed feedback to improve AI model outputs.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated Rust code and explanations for correctness, safety, and idiomatic usage.
• Generate high‑quality Rust solutions and step‑by‑step explanations.
• Rate and compare multiple AI responses based on correctness and reasoning.
• Identify and document errors in ownership, borrowing, lifetimes, and algorithmic logic.
• Fact‑check information and ensure model outputs are accurate and unbiased.

Required profile

• 1–2+ years of professional Rust development experience in backend, CLI, or systems projects.
• Strong grasp of Rust’s ownership, borrowing, and lifetime model.
• Experience evaluating code produced by LLMs or AI coding assistants.
• Excellent English writing skills for clear technical explanations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
