Remote Accountant – Hospitality Focus

About the role

Howard Financial is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to support its portfolio of hospitality clients. This fully remote position serves Latin America and involves daily accounting, month‑end close, and client‑focused financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Execute accurate daily accounting tasks, prepare journal entries, and support month‑end close to meet client deadlines.
• Maintain balance‑sheet integrity by cleaning up, reconciling, and resolving items across multiple hotel properties.
• Quickly master specialized hospitality platforms, ERP tools, and reporting structures for independent execution.
• Deliver consistent, high‑quality service by adhering to standardized processes and stakeholder expectations.

Required profile

• 1–3+ years of professional accounting experience, preferably in hospitality, property management, or outsourced accounting services.
• Strong foundational knowledge of accounting principles, journal entries, reconciliations, and month‑end close cycles.
• Familiarity with hotel operations, revenue cycles, and hospitality systems such as Opera and POS platforms.
• Ability to learn and work with Ottimate, Acumatica, and ProfitSword.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of working independently while collaborating effectively.
