Registered Nurse – Urgent Care (0.60 FTE)

About the role

Under the general supervision of the Manager, Health Services, the Registered Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing care to patients in the Urgent Care unit of Concordia Hospital. This 0.60 FTE position works 8‑hour shifts across days, evenings and weekends, supporting patients with complex and unpredictable health needs.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver independent nursing services, including assessment, planning and evaluation of patient care.
• Administer prescribed medical treatments safely and accurately.
• Lead and collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Coordinate patient care, discharge planning and follow‑up services.
• Uphold the vision, values and goals of the health region and facility.

Required profile

• Recent, related nursing experience; current emergency nursing experience preferred.
• Satisfactory employment record.
• Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program.
• Successful completion of WRHA Emergency Nursing Orientation Level 1 within two months of hire and Levels 2‑3 within twelve months.
