Registered Nurse – Surgery (N2 East)

About the role

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a Registered Nurse for the N2 East Surgery unit at Concordia Hospital. This position provides professional nursing care to patients with complex surgical needs, supporting both day and night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions for surgical patients.
• Administer prescribed medical treatments and medications safely.
• Coordinate patient care plans, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and facilitate discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs.

Required profile

• Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing program.
• Minimum of one year recent medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
• Commitment to the values and goals of the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority.

Required skills

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
• Medication administration competency.
