Procurement Specialist (MRO & Plant Services)

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will join Chevron's Supply Chain Management team at the Buenos Aires Shared Services Center. You will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and managing MRO materials, equipment, and plant services for both capital projects and ongoing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sourcing and purchasing of MRO materials, equipment and plant services for capital projects and plant operations.
• Conduct sourcing events using RFQ, sealed bids and other techniques, evaluate commercial offers and facilitate bid clarification meetings.
• Lead supplier qualification processes, maintain the Approved Vendor List and engage stakeholders to select new suppliers.
• Expedite orders, coordinate planning with field material coordinators and project expeditors, and monitor delivery performance.
• Drive implementation of global and regional procurement initiatives and processes.
• Develop annual contracting plans, negotiate terms with suppliers and contractors, and resolve invoice or delivery discrepancies.
• Perform commodity studies, market trend analysis and generate regular purchasing reports and S2P metrics.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or a related field.
• At least two years of experience in MRO materials and plant services sourcing, warehouse or inventory management.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (reading, writing and speaking).
• Knowledge of contracting and procurement processes, e‑sourcing and e‑procurement is an advantage.
