Principal Product Manager - Checkouts

About the role

Trafilea is looking for a Principal Product Manager to own and continuously improve TrafiCheckout, the company’s proprietary headless checkout solution. This role is central to driving revenue growth by boosting conversion rates and optimizing post‑checkout monetisation across all brands.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end checkout funnel for all brands on desktop and mobile, from cart entry to order confirmation.
• Define, prioritize and run a rolling A/B testing roadmap, maintaining at least two concurrent experiments using VWO or a similar platform.
• Analyse checkout drop‑offs by device, traffic source, payment method and error type, turning insights into actionable hypotheses.
• Optimise mobile‑first checkout UX, including field sequencing, keyboard behaviour, autofill, CTA placement and wallet integrations (Apple Pay, Google Pay).
• Design and refine error states, failure copy and retry prompts to maximise transaction recovery.
• Maintain a weekly Checkout Health Dashboard tracking conversion, authorization, decline and recovery metrics.
• Manage the payments infrastructure layer, ensuring high authorization rates, low chargebacks and scaling the multi‑PSP strategy internationally.

Required profile

• 5+ years of product management experience with direct ownership of a consumer‑facing checkout funnel in DTC, e‑commerce or high‑volume fintech.
• Proven record of improving checkout conversion rates through data‑driven experimentation.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate quantitative findings into product improvements.
• Experience collaborating across growth, engineering, finance and customer‑care teams.
