Payroll Specialist

About the role

Finvisor is seeking a driven, client‑focused Payroll Specialist to join its fast‑paced payroll department. You will work closely with accounting and compliance teams, providing day‑to‑day support for a diverse portfolio of startup clients.

Key responsibilities

• Enter and update client payroll data daily.
• Send payroll reminders to clients 3‑4 days before processing.
• Finalize and run payroll on a monthly or semimonthly schedule.
• Onboard new employees and address related inquiries.
• Prepare and submit payroll tax payments to state and federal agencies.
• Register clients when they establish a nexus in a new state.
• Assist with payroll tax audits and special projects.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of experience with U.S. payroll (strongly preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to multitask in a client‑facing environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Google Docs.
• Proficiency in Google Spreadsheets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
