Part‑Time Controller

About the role

SuperSummary is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Controller to become the financial backbone of our remote, subscription‑based EdTech business. Working 10‑20 hours per week, you will own the end‑to‑end accounting function while shaping budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting that drive growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the monthly close process, producing accurate P&L, balance sheet, and cash‑flow statements.
• Manage revenue recognition under ASC 606 / IFRS 15, including deferred revenue, chargebacks, cancellations, and prior‑period adjustments.
• Oversee subscription billing operations in ChargeBee and Stripe, ensuring seamless data flow to the general ledger.
• Maintain audit readiness and supervise the external bookkeeper.
• Build and maintain rolling forecasts, budgets, and subscription‑metric dashboards (MRR, ARR, churn, LTV, CAC).
• Evaluate, automate, and modernize financial tools, including AI‑assisted reconciliation and reporting.

Required profile

• Proven experience running the accounting function for a SaaS or subscription business.
• Strong understanding of consumer subscription economics and related financial metrics.
• Comfortable presenting variance analysis and strategic insights to senior leadership.
• Self‑starter who seeks a seat at the decision‑making table, not just a spreadsheet.
