Operations Lead

About the role

PerkUp, a fast‑growing HR‑tech startup that powers corporate gifting worldwide, is looking for an Operations Lead to own and continuously improve the flow of products through its global fulfillment network. This remote, player‑coach position will manage 3PL relationships, lead an operations coordinator, and handle day‑to‑day execution of inbound shipments, inventory, and order fulfillment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain day‑to‑day relationships with global 3PL partners, overseeing SLAs, escalations, performance, onboarding and migrations.
• Directly manage and develop one operations coordinator through goal setting, delegation, coaching and performance reviews.
• Create and review Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs), follow up on inbound shipments, resolve receiving discrepancies and protect inventory accuracy.
• Coordinate with the purchasing team to ensure a clean handoff from purchase order to warehouse availability.
• Monitor fulfillment and delivery, investigate exceptions and aging orders, and drive issues to resolution.
• Diagnose Shopify, Warehouse Management System (WMS) and order‑sync problems, collaborate with partners and engineering, and validate fixes.
• Lead new warehouse requirements, process changes, documentation, SOPs, dashboards and operating controls.
• Track performance, identify recurring failure points and build systems that reduce escalations and founder involvement.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, fulfillment, e‑commerce or a similarly complex operations environment.
• Proven ability to solve ambiguous operational problems independently and take accountability for outcomes.
• Experience managing or leading other operators, with a focus on clear delegation and coaching.
• Smart, technically curious, highly accountable and able to learn new tools quickly.
