Operations Assistant (G-5) – Fixed Term – Buenos Aires

About the role

The Operations Assistant ensures smooth delivery of ICT, administrative and premises services for UNICEF Argentina. By providing first‑line technical assistance, coordinating operational processes and maintaining office infrastructure, the incumbent helps sustain business continuity and an enabling work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level ICT support: log, process and resolve service requests, maintain hardware and software, and ensure security of physical and logical infrastructure.
• Support events with audiovisual equipment and manage SharePoint and OneDrive platforms.
• Prepare periodic ICT reports, track request lifecycles and assist with training initiatives.
• Monitor premises conditions, coordinate maintenance, supervise outsourced services (security, cleaning, reception) and manage inventories of common areas.
• Act as on‑site focal point for operational issues and liaise with vendors.

Required profile

• Completed secondary education.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in IT support, service desk, network or systems administration, audiovisual support, facilities or vendor management.
