National Sea Logistics Trade Lane Manager

About the role

As a member of Kuehne+Nagel’s Freight Forwarding team, you will own the commercial and operational performance of the trade lane linking Latin America and Asia. You will ensure the lane meets growth targets while delivering reliable service to our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial and operational performance of the Latin America‑Asia trade lane.
• Monitor KPIs such as shipment volume, revenue and profitability against targets.
• Analyse market trends, capacity and freight‑rate changes to adjust pricing strategies.
• Develop logistics solutions tailored to the Asia corridor and support the sales team with market insights.
• Define pricing strategies, prepare quotations and balance competitiveness with profitability.
• Participate in customer meetings and business reviews, providing performance insights.
• Maintain relationships with key customers, shipping lines and internal global stakeholders.
• Coordinate cross‑country teams to ensure alignment and efficient execution.
• Support procurement negotiations with carriers and oversee contracted space utilization.
• Identify growth opportunities and implement action plans to expand the lane.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Business or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in sea logistics, freight forwarding or trade lane management.
• Strong understanding of international shipping, freight rates and market dynamics.
• Experience in pricing, quoting or commercial support within logistics.
• Ability to analyse volume, revenue and profitability data and translate findings into actions.
• Proven experience working with multiple stakeholders across countries or regions.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Strong communication, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
