Mobile Engineer (React Native) – POS Applications

About the role

AgileEngine is seeking a Mobile Engineer specialized in React Native to develop point‑of‑sale (POS) tablet applications and supporting backend services for a major quick‑service restaurant (QSR) platform. You will work within an established architecture, using TypeScript, Node.js and modern offline‑first synchronization techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement React Native and TypeScript features for the POS tablet app.
• Develop and maintain Node.js/TypeScript service endpoints.
• Write clean, well‑tested code and participate in code reviews.
• Debug and resolve defects and production issues.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies such as planning, estimation and retrospectives.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience with production delivery.
• Hands‑on experience with offline‑first or local‑first data synchronization using CRDT frameworks (e.g., Automerge, Ditto).
• Strong knowledge of React Native, TypeScript and Node.js.
• Solid fundamentals in data structures, API design, debugging and testing.
• Experience with REST APIs, service‑based architectures and databases.
• Ability to follow established architecture and standards.
• Proficiency with AI‑assisted development tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot).
• Upper‑intermediate English communication skills.
